Subject to the conditions below, including special conditions for certain products, Nardek warrants all Nardek branded products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods from the date of fitment:

* All brand new components: one (1) year or when the vehicle to which the product is fitted has travelled 20,000km, whichever occurs first;
* Remanufactured components: three (3) months or when the vehicle to which the product is fitted has travelled 10,000km, whichever occurs first.

To claim on this Nardek warranty, you must complete a Nardek Warranty Request Form in full for each item returned. Nardek Warranty Forms can be downloaded at www.nardek.com or obtained by calling Nardek on (02) 9984 9984. You must return the item, the completed form and your proof of purchase to Nardek at PO Box 7427, Warringah Mall, NSW, 2100. Incomplete claims under this warranty will not be accepted.

If you submit a valid warranty request under this Nardek warranty and Nardek accepts your claim, Nardek will repair or replace your product. Nardek may replace any faulty product with a different product that is of at least equivalent standard and function. When a product is replaced, any replacement product becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Nardek's property. The balance of this Nardek warranty applies to any repaired or replaced product. Nardek's sole responsibility under this warranty is to repair or replace your product. Other costs, such as the costs of returning the product to Nardek, are not covered by this warranty.

This Nardek warranty does not apply to products that have:

* been installed on a vehicle with an LPG or dual fuel system;

* been installed in an application other than automotive use, including, but not limited to, aviation or marine;

* been tampered with, dismantled, modified or altered in any way from their original factory configuration;
* had any Nardek markings or serial number altered, defaced, removed or made illegible;
* been misused, abused or damaged in storage or transit;
* been damaged by pre-existing faults in a vehicle (such as wiring faults or fuel contamination), improper installation or installation in incorrect applications; or
* been repaired by anyone other than a person authorised by Nardek.

Conditions for certain products

Certain Nardek products are subject to special warranty conditions, as detailed below.

LPG &/or Dual Fuel systems: This warranty does not extend to products or components which have been installed on a vehicle fitted with an LPG or a dual fuel system.

Airflow meters: This warranty does not extend to airflow meters which have been installed on a vehicle with an LPG or a dual fuel system or to damage caused to the component by another external factor (eg backfire).

Carburettors: It is recommended that a carburettor specialist fits any new carburettor assembly. All adjustments and jetting are factory set and marked. Tampering or changing these factory adjustments &/or jetting in any way will void this warranty.

Coils / Distributors: This warranty does not extend to coils or distributors which have been installed on a vehicle with an LPG or a dual fuel system. This warranty is void for distributors returned with evidence of contamination from oil or water (or other similar substance). If the old distributor unit has any signs of oil internally, the engine’s PCV valve must be replaced. Failure to do so will void this warranty. This warranty is void for distributors which have been disassembled, modified or regraphed. Evidence of tampering (including the removal of the distributor cap), disassembly and reassembly or regraphing will automatically void the warranty. Warranty will be void where the internal components of the distributor have been repaired or replaced by someone other than Nardek. A new complete set of ignition leads must be installed at time of new distributor or coil fitment. Proof of lead purchase/replacement is required with any distributor or coil warranty claim. Failure to do so will void this warranty.

Electric fuel pumps: This warranty does not extend to electric fuel pumps which have been installed on a vehicle with an LPG or a dual fuel system. When returning an electric fuel pump, all additional components such as strainer, hose clamps and gasket supplied with the pump must also be returned. If these components are not returned, the claim under this warranty will be rejected. Fuel pumps can be damaged by contaminated fuel and such damage is not covered by this warranty. Fuel pump replacement must be carried out in a clean environment. Warranty will be void if the fuel tank is not removed, drained, cleaned thoroughly and inspected professionally. Nardek recommends replacing all fuel filters or fitting one if there is none fitted when installing any Nardek product. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Severe damage to internal components will occur if fuel pumps are run dry. Evidence of this will void warranty. Fuel pumps that are returned with evidence of solder at the terminals will void warranty. Fuel pumps that are returned with damaged / broken casing, terminals &/or inlet fittings will void warranty.

The benefits given by this Nardek warranty are additional to other rights and remedies that you may have under laws relating to our products. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
